Purpose

This will be the 5th Conference on the subject “The Soul of Europe”. The previous ones were held in Amsterdam – 2005, Budapest – 2007, Prague – 2008 and Gdansk – 2010.

The aim is to look for the spirit uniting Europe, for a new European community, using the anthroposophical knowledge of the folk souls of every nation. Every country has its spiritual origins and specific mission in the evolution of humanity and could contribute to the building of a new Europe and a new social organism in which the ideals of freedom, equality and brotherhood can live.

The Anthroposophical Society in Bulgaria took the initiative to organize the Conference in Varna – 2014, making known the spiritual heritage of the country and its contribution to cultural and spiritual development of Europe.

During these days we will commemorate the 265 birthday of Goethe and 75 years since Ita Wegman’s visit to the same place at the Black Sea.
